01Who we are

Mectzi LLC (“Mectzi”, “we”) runs www.mectzi.com. We are based at 1305 Silver Ave, San Francisco, CA 94134, United States, and we are responsible for the personal information described on this page.

02What we collect

We only collect what we need to talk to you and to understand how the site is used.

• Messages you send us. The letter on our contact page opens your own email app, so we receive only what you choose to send, such as your name, company, email address and message.
• Consultation bookings. When you book a free consultation, our scheduling provider Cal.com collects your name, email address, the time you pick and any answers you give, and shares them with us.
• How the site is used. Google Analytics shows us which pages are visited and for how long, roughly where visitors are (country and city), which device and browser they use and how they found us. It does not tell us who you are.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes your IP address and basic browser details to deliver the site and keep it secure.

03Cookies and similar storage

Google Analytics uses cookies (named _ga, and _ga_ followed by an ID) to tell one visit from the next. These cookies are only set after you click Accept on the cookie notice. Until then, Google receives only anonymous signals, without cookies.

Your answer is saved in your browser so we don’t ask again. You can change it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

The booking calendar on our contact page is provided by Cal.com and may use storage it needs to work. We use no advertising cookies and no tracking across other sites.

04How we use it

• To reply to your messages and hold the consultations you book.
• To prepare proposals and deliver the work we agree on.
• To improve the site, using Analytics reports.
• To keep the site secure and working.

We never sell your personal information, never use it for advertising and never share it for anyone else’s marketing.

05Our legal basis in Europe and the UK

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for analytics cookies; on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and running and securing the site; and, when you book a consultation or work with us, on taking the steps you ask for before a contract and on the contract itself.

06Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the providers that help us run Mectzi, each of whom must protect it:

• Google, for website analytics.
• Cal.com, for consultation bookings.
• Vercel, for hosting the website.
• Our email provider, to send and receive email.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

07International transfers

Mectzi is based in the United States, and our providers may process information there and in other countries. When information leaves the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on recognised safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

08How long we keep it

We keep messages and booking details while we are in conversation or working together, and afterwards only as long as our records or the law require. Analytics data is kept for no more than 14 months.

09Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, or object to or limit how we use it. You can withdraw your consent to analytics at any time with “Cookie settings”.

To make a request, write to hello@mectzi.com. We reply within 30 days. If you are in Europe or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

If you live in California, you can ask to know, correct and delete the personal information we hold about you. We do not sell or share personal information as California law defines those terms.

10Children

Our site and services are meant for businesses and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

11Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
